This performance of Messiah is a celebration of 15 years of choir activities. Founded as a community choir in 1997, we sang Messiah at our inaugural concert as part of a world wide BT Voices for Hospices fund raising event in which more than 1,000 choirs, based throughout the world, took part.
Messiah was first performed on 13th April 1742 in Dublin 270 years ago. It was well received then and has never lost its appeal for choirs and audiences.
Join us for this celebratory concert and take part in the ever popular Hallelujah chorus. Please bring your score if you have one.
Our concerts are free but we have a retiring collection to help cover costs. For this concert, part of the retiring collection will go to our local St Joseph's Hospice.
